I am "rodstoring" a 66 chevelle wagon, and would like to know if the fire wall was painted body color or semi- gloss black from the factory on these cars?

I'm not an expert on 66's but I know Cheverolet did not put color anywhere they did not have to.
I would say if it's the same as 69' it will be semi-flat black.
If you are Rodding this ride do what you like. I've seen lots of nice rods with the firewall painted body color.

I'm not sure about the wagons, but my 66 SS has the black firewall. I agree with fastss396man about doing what you like. It doesn't sound like you're going for a concourse restoration. http://www.chevelles.com/forum/wink.gif
