I have a '72 that needs to have the rear bumper replaced. I took out all of the rear lenses and found the 4 bolts corresponding to the chrome caps on the bunmper. My question is are these the only 4 bolts that hold the bumper in place and do I have to remove the plastic taillight assembly in order to get to the 2 rear facing bolts? And if so, are the 2 bolts, per side, inside the trunk the anchor for these light pods?

if memory serves me.. On my 71 the only bolts I needed too remove were the four inside the trunk... and the two screws holdint the valence near the license plate.. Don't forget about the wiring harnesses!!!!

the 2 on each side inside the trunk, 1 or 2 in the middle above the liscence plate and 1 on each side under the bumper that holds a bracket to the body. take the lower brackets and upper brackets off with the bumper. its easier that way. dont forget to unplug the liscence plate bulb wire. it has a disconect.
