I see a lot of questions here about four speed conversions and I have read numerous old threads about it and it has helped me very much. I just want to say there is a wealth of knowledge and a host of good people on this board so I want to say thank you for whoever created it.

Anyway I've noticed that many of the questions are related to cost, and I would just like to run down for anyone who's interested in the conversion everything invested so far.

M20 Transmission and Bell housing - 350.00
Clutch Linkage and pedals and fork from OPGi-330.00
Flywheel - 25.00 resurfacing - 20.00
Shifter - Free
Shifter linkage - 89.95
Clutch Kit - 289.95
Clutch Fork adjustment ball - 14.00
Transmission Gaskets, Bushing, Oil Seal - 14.95
Micscellaneous Hardware/ Other expenses not everyone will need gas for a welder - 230.00 (Gas Bottle, Gas, Tips, Wire, Gasket Sealant, Loctite, etc.)

Items needed - Shifter boot, and hump - 80.00
Total price of parts - 1213.85
Total price of tools, fasteners, etc. - 230.00
Aproximate total Price spent for conversion = $1443.85

Cost of the fun factor after It's installed, and the feeling that you did something valuable with your time: Priceless.

I agree, cost me hte same and got the same deals it seems as you (bellhousing, shifter, flywheel).

Came out to 1200 bucks but my god its totally changed the car for me, it was the single best investment I've made into that car. Now I need some 3.55 gears and a posi to complete hte package.
