We neglected to add pictures of our '72 when we introduced ourselves. I'm very challenged with the computer, hope this link works. Let me know if it works...

Thanks.

I remember you saying that you and your wife are going to clone the car to an SS. Were you just talking about the body, or body and interior, or a 100% clone? As far as the body, looks like all you need are some badges and trim. Is that a fiberglass hood? I've never seen a Chevelle hood with 4 hood pins.

That is one fine 72 you have Dave & Ginger.

Pretty much just the body and interior as far as cloning goes. Excuse my ignorance, but what else is there?

The exterior needs the emblems and a new grill, the interior will be more difficult. New dash, etc.

The hood is fiberglass, the guy I bought it from had it set up for drag racing. Originally had Weld aluminum Racing wheels with ET Streets in the rear and Sportsmans up front. Just unloaded them on EBAY yesterday. Anyway, the previous owner claims his son-in-law took off in it without the hood pins in and lost it on the road. That's why there's 4 pins, tore it right off the hinges. That's like the guy who tells the pharmacist "I have a friend whose having erectile malfunctions", you know? If I did it I'd blame the son-in law too. The wife and I are intending to put a cowl induction hood on when we get the body work done this winter.

It runs and looks great, and is an absolute blast to drive. I've wanted one for years, I couldn't pass this up at 7K.

By cloning 100%, I just meant as far as appearance under the hood, and other options that SS had, but not necessarily noticed unless looking for. Things like suspension, etc. I guess I was asking if you were going for a "stock" SS look or a "hotrod" SS look.

Damn, 7k looks like a great buy from the pics! Good luck with it!

The paint is actually a Teal, or Aqua color. Can't really tell by the picture, but it looks different in varying lighting conditions. Pretty unique actually. Ginger wants it blue, like Mulsanne blue. The Teal's kinda growing on me though. And I'm a Miami Dolphins fan, so I've always had a spot for that color.

By the way Dean, that's a great looking beast. Have you raised it a little?

Thanks, It does have the rear spring helpers but I've been think about removing them.
It never had a wheel hop problem until I put the new springs on the back.

Dave,

I have pics on my Kodak Shareware. I know how to send pics to an email but I'm not sure if I can send pics to this site. I will give it a try.
