My first thought was, "I wonder if it is a counterfit stamp???"..

I flat can't imagine somebody being that much of a dork to post onna those on an envelope UNLESS the person really did hate the owner of it that much!!

Plus, how the heck would the person even get access to it if the hatred was that bad??

I read this article last night and here is what I think might have happened. Her late husband was a stamp collector that perhaps had this stamp along with others for decades. He passes on, and his wife now perhaps in her 80's has no clue as to the value of her late husbands stamps. She runs out of .39 postage and goes and retrieves those old stamps of his to mail her absentee ballot off in the mail. Just a thought of mine but who knows?
