The last one I used was ordered from a place in florida called FZN I do believe. They have a web address but I can't recall it at the moment. DZAUTO Jun 19th, 00, 6:34 AM DG is right, I have a COMPLETE repo CI Hood system on my 70 conv that I got from Original Parts Group (OPG) about 2yrs ago. My son's 71 has an original Chev CI Hood. Side by side, same, same, basically. ZERO complaints about fit, clearance (I have no clue who the mfg for OPG is). The price difference is about half. If you want the genuine GM hood, it is still available from Chev parts dept. ------------------ Tom Parsons jimmy Jun 19th, 00, 12:03 PM I recently tried to buy a CI hood at the local Chevy dealer and was told they are now discontinued. It looks like I waited to long and will have to go the repro route now. It was cheaper to go to the dealer, and order one since you didn't have to pay shiping. I should have bought a dozen as at the time, they were $400 a pop. It seems like all of a sudden that everyone has been wanting to add one. If a person is set on having an original GM hood (even for twice the price), I would recommend calling ASAP one/some of the aftermarket folks to see id they have any in stock. ------------------ Tom Parsons | ||
