I need to know what size tip to get when purchasing a HVLP paint sprayer. Primer/base coat/clearcoat. will i need more than one tip? If so what sizes? I will be using urethane or epoxy paint. I think it will be a 2 stage paint.

I'll tell you that a 1.3 tip will work just fine with all the products you mentioned. It will be a little slow but 1.3 is what you want for the clear and I much rather comprimise the tip size on the primer and have it a little slow than compromise on the clear and have it orange peeled!

I have done tests that actually show a higher film build with a 1.3 tip while spraying urethane primer, it leaves very little solvent in the primer and therefor doesn't shrink.
