Anyone living or work near this company.sent part to be chrome plated(bumpers and vent window post).Suppose to be ready in 10 to 12 weeks, but I can't get hold of anyone. When I call the operator said, the number been temporarly disconnected and no information. lh,
Hope I am wrong, but I heard they closed or maybe changed owners :( I was thinking of using them for some stuff until I heard that. One of my customers had them chrome a bunch of parts for a 34 Ford and they were very nice.

Bill, that's what I heard also, someone said they change their name to Creative Chrome, but when you call for information, there's no record of this name only the Chrome Factory @ 301-333-9773

I guess I didn't think there were any chrome shops still out there after the good old EPA darn near regulated them out of existance..

There are 2 near here. The one closer to me, their work sucks. That's a bummer too because they are a mile from my house. The other one is insanely high priced.

Well I went to their above mentioned location and they are gone. Sorry to say, you've probably lost your parts.

I can't believe they would not finish out their existing work with out even notifying their customers??? For future reference, Librandi's Plating near Harrisburg PA is supposed to do great work.

Dave,Librandi,s does great work.I know 3/4 of the people on this website worship Tri-City plating, got a rear bumper from them and it was poor.My fault,I didnt check it out enough when I picked it up,and it wasn,t worth the aggravation to return it.I had my front bumper done at Librandi,s and it was beautiful.Just my experience.

Doug, The difference between good chrome and bad chrome is kinda like the difference between a good taxidermist and a bad one. The deer heads look good until you put them next to each other and then you can tell the difference.

I guess I done lost my money and parts.

Maybe not. Since they were a corporation, they have to dissolve their assets to satisfy any claims of debt. I found this stuff when I did a quick search.

According to the tax records, they dissolved the business on April 19, 2006. Did you send parts to them before this date? From your original post, it looks like you did. So some scoundrel is collecting money and probably selling off the parts as used. In any case, you have a door to knock on from the info. If it's still current. But there are ways to find people, regardless. I found a previous owner of a car my friend bought, because he lost the title before transferring it to his name. I contacted the lady's previous neighbor, who in turn contacted the p.o., and we ended up getting a duplicate title for my buddy's car. Where there's a will, there's a way. ;)
