Hello all-

When I bought my '72 Chevelle it had a Winters Racing shifter. I want to put a sock console and horseshoe shifter in, but it appears the car was originally a console shifter and may have originally had a front bench seat. With this in mind, can I expect a stock console to fit or might I be required to do some modifications? As always, thanks for the advice.

Dave...you shouldn't have any problems fit-wise if you want to install a console w/horseshoe shifter in your '72. There have been many posts regarding this mod on TC so you should be able to find out everything you'll need via the search function...I'm planning to swap out my bench seat for buckets and a console as well...after I get the car painted and a new top.
