Alright, here's the scoop from Metro that I got after emailing them and requesting they reproduce this item.
They are in search of a GOOD example of this item so they can reproduce it. Mine dont qualify, SOOOOO it anyone here knows of one let them know.
I would post the response that I got from them here, but I dont know how.
If anyone knows how let me know and I will e-mail it to you then you can post it here.

just do a cut and paste into the body of your messege box. Why did you start a new thread on this subject? I also am working with a guy named Barry. same thing , need nos sample in order to reproduce or one in excelent shape. just the ends are absolutly necessary. the long part is an extrusion.

Any new news on the 68-72 wstrip? I have a 1968 and the ends are in good shape but the extrusion is ragged. How can I help out? I can't drive the wagon in the rain or even wash it right without a seal [it's been removed]. I have several p/n's from Mitchell's from 68-72 and the one on the wstrip itself says "DT 7730778 -2 -2 -R", none of the Mitchell's #'s match that one. I also need an upper tailgate glass seal, I lost mine...

Brian111, hi you need to check out my site. i am into those wagons and have been making progress reproducing parts no one can get. www.einstyn.com (http://www.einstyn.com) there are 2 links near the bottom. one is parts i am selling which include the seals you are talking about and the other link is where you can get the window seal. as far as the tail gat rubber seal goes, the extrusions are made and i need a few more weeks to perfect the molded boots. drop me an email and i'll put you on the list.
