No. You will need a standard differential case with 31 spline axle gears in it. The 9 inch Power Trax uses the original axle gears as part of the locker. What are you wanting to build? I might have something that you can use.

I`m using the Mosier 9" rear and at one time in another post someone stated that the 28 spline axels were small and that has me nervous with a warm 454 and 275 tires (I can be agressive at times) and was thinking about going heaver duty. These are Mosier axels also I`m running a hyd roller so rpm will prob be only around 6k. Thank you very much for your help. Aloha Mike

What is the transmission? What gear ratio are you running? Do you want a locker or just want to upgrade to 31 spline axles?

I would like to stay with the clutch type posi for smoothness I am running 3:55 gears and have a Richmond 5 speed trans. Drag racing background but this is me and my wifes cruiser(with atitude) I`m 53 if that helps but I`m open for sugestions. Thanks again Mike

I'm assuming that you have a Traction Lock differential. If this is the case then you can have the differential case bored out so that the larger axles will fit into the holes and then install a 31 spline gear set in the case that you have. This will allow you to use what you have. You will also need a 31 spline clutch hub. If you don't have a Traction Lock then you may not be able to do this.

Sounds like a lot of work are the Mosier 28 splines that weak? Again thank you for taking the time to help me with this. I bought the set up several years ago and asked for the clutch type posi I don`t recall what I got. Up till now I`v allways used GM products.
