Well this week I've had some spare time at night to work on my car, and I've gotten a bit done. First of all, the steering is backtogether and safer than ever (which isn't saying much). The brake lines are run, and are bled and ready to go.
Check out the now rebuilt under-the-floor master which puts out damn good pressure.

Clutch is in, and still needs more adjustment. One important thing is that I got the throttle rigged up.
Here is the 1980's chevy truck gas pedal.

And here is the cable/linkage setup to the carb. I used part of the factory linkage of a 53-54 chevy, and put the cable to it vertically. The cable bracket is part some excess bracket that was somewhere else on the motor, and I put it behind the intake bolt. I used shaft collars to hold the cable in place. The cable itself is some spectre/mr.gasket unniversal throttle cable.

I also got the fuel hooked up to the tank. I got somewhat lucky; there was no old gas in it. I just hooked up a pre-filter to stop crap from going into the pump, and filled it with gas + lead additive. The gas is still coming through a wierd color (redish) and really smells like varnish, it runs fine though. Hopefully it'll all clear up after a few tanks.

I also put the tires/wheels on. Got fresh "Mr Lugnut" brand lugnuts, and I did my shady whtiewall painting on the tires. I know it looks like crap now, but I havnt trimmed the excess, and it doesnt have enough coats. Besides, these are OLD tires (probably from the 60's) that wont be on the car come spring. Might as well make it look kinda good from 50 feet away.
