Hey everybody, I'm new to the board. I have some questions about the early Chevelle cowl hoods that were vac actuated.
I'm trying to change the setup I have on my '70 Camaro with an '81 Z28 hood that has a functional scoop door that is actuated by an electric soleniod. I want to have the door open constantly when the car is running, but I think I would burn out the soleniod pretty quickly that way.
I want to adapt a vac. setup similar to what the early Chevelles w/ cowl induction used to my Camaro hood.
Does anybody know
1) What parts are necessary for the setup?
2) Are they available from the aftermarket? Chevrolet? or do I have to scour the junk yards? Any vac accessories from other cars I might be able to use.
3) Any info about catalogs, part numbers, good or bad aspects to the setup would be appreciated.
Thanks for the help. You guys have a great board here.
