Well now I have gone and done it. I dropped the fuel tank out of my 65 2dr wagon only to realize that the drivers side body mount tower is gone from cancer. The botom two inches is missing and the frame pedistal has partial rot. The passenger side is better, but not by much. Is this something that the body should be seperated to replace? I was not plannig on removing the body yet, space is tight, but if I need to then damn the city ordinace. I am working out of my carport.
If the frame does come off, I do not want to damage the body. Can it be supported behind the rear wheel? I was thinking in six places, under the firewall, under the rear rocker, and the rear mount in front of the rear bumper. Is this enough?
