I am looking for any thought I am looking to buy a zz 502, not sure if I am going to change the cam. I would like a hyd roller bigger of course than the one provided, also its going in a 67 chevelle 700r4 trans ,4 wheel disc rebuilt 12 bolt 3.90 w/ eaton posi, already installed. I am also putting vintage a/c in. I just installed the new a/c dash. pros and cons on the 502. I am going to put a airgap manifold and proform carb 850 I think, also does the pan need changing to fit in the 67? I have been readin alot on this web page lots if inf and all great people finally decided to join. This is my first car I got when I was 16, and it belonged to my great aunt, she was the second owner as far as I can tell, and yes I still have it. When I got it, the color was gold on gold bench seat powerglide 327 no a/c.

Yes, it will need a different oil pan. It comes with a Truck Oilpan, pickup and windage tray.

GMPP sells a kit for about $150 that comes with the correct chevelle/camaro oilpan, correct pickup tube, and 4 main bolts to replace the windage tray studs.

I know 2 different people who have bought the ZZ502 motor and love them. I don't think you can go wrong.
