When I tubbed my 55 it was my first time doing it, and it came out fine. Since this only a mini tub job and not a full there are a couple ways to do it, either widening your inner housings or using new metal depending on how wide the tubs are going to be. First of all you will have to remove the inner wheel houses. Dont cut out the trunk floor or any extra metal yet. For making new tubs start with the rear wheels on the car that you want to use and make tubs out of cardboard, trimming them to fit exactly as the real ones should be. After getting them as they should be, make the real ones out of steel. Since you probably dont have a lot of experience with metal work, you could buy a set of full size tubs and cut them down to your template sizes. If using your original inners, you would space them away from the outer wheelhouse where you need them, and make a cardboard filler template between the two halves. Copy the template to sheetmetal and tape the final pieces together. After getting the tubs formed whichever way you decide, put them in place temporarily and mark where the trunk floor has to be cut. Then do all final trimming and weld in place. Seam seal the edges and you are good to go! Its not hard work, but you will need a mig, a good set of tin snips, and patience.
