I am installing an edelbrock mechanical pump in my 70 (small block) the inlet an fitting to the pump is hitting my motor mount bolt. Can i remove the several bolts that hold the pump together and realign the inlet and outlet so they will clear. I see that they make a replacemet bottom for the pump that will allow for a bottom inlet. Just was wondering if i could do this instead. Thanks

Yes Dave you can. In both cases. You can reposition the outlet within reason and/or use the bottom feed system Edlebrock provides. If you have the 3/8 NPT inlet and outlet as is on their street version though, watch out for tight radius 90 degree type of fittings. Some of the cheaper fittings can cause high RPM lean outs due to their restrictive nature.;)

I rotated mine to clear. I had the bottom inlet replacement part but I ended up not using it. I can't remember why, maybe it didn't clear the frame on my 67?
