Hi,

Does anyone know if the Edelbrock Performer RPM Air-Gap Intake Manifold will cause hood clearance problems when using the factory 396 open-element Air Cleaner in a 1967 Chevelle?

Thank for your time,

JimG

The RPM Air-Gap fits under my SS hood. The key is a vey low profile air cleaner base.

Thanks Mike and Chris.

This really helps. I appreciate your time and the pics.

The car is originally a 396/325 HP car. I had the original, matching numbers block rebuilt and shelved it.

I had a 4-bolt 454 stroked to 496 and am currently in the process of restoring the engine compartment and front suspension prior to installation.

I am using 049 heads. I had the original Turbo 400 rebuilt and will use a stall converter.

Hope to run in the low 12's.

Thanks again,

Jim
