Ok guys I've been a lurker for a LONG time. But I need the forums help.
I use to own a 1969 SS396 Chevelle that I reluctantly sold in 1985. I have just recently found the protect-o-plate from it and was wondering if any of you know where this car maybe. The vin# is 136379A322463 and it was black with dk green interior. In 1985 it was in Miami florida then I tracked down to Ft.lauderdale florida in 88 or 89 and the last place I tracked it down to, was the Tampa, Fl. area. If anyone can help I would greatly appreciate it. You may contact me at martinezangel@bellsouth.net

A cop would be able to run that VIN for you, but not sure if it's actually legal to do that, but if you are good friends with a cop, or better yet, related to one, they will probably run it for you

Thanks guys, I'm going to try with a buddy who has a brother that's in law enforcement. I've been searching for the car since HighSchool and I'm now fast approaching 40! Ouch... oh well I knew their was a reason behind me wanting to keep the protect-o-plate when I sold her back in 85'...hehehe

If you have the VIN number, your state DMV website would be the best place to search. They have the records there, but, yoi umay have to get a little creative to get it.

BTW, welcome to the forum!
