Hello all, this is Dave and Ginger from Fredericksburg, VA. We recently bought a '72 Malibu set up for drag racing and are bringing it back to earth for summer weekends. I've been a Chevelle nut since I was a teenager, just had to wait until I hit my 40s to handle one responsibly.
Anyway, our ride holds a 396 (I was told by the seller, I think it's actually a 402, a little more research will tell), a TH400 and 3.73 12-bolt posi (just changed it from the 4.88 it came with). This baby has balls from the word go, anything less than 60 mph is painful on her.
Anyway, we intend to do a little interior and exterior body work to make it an SS clone, trying to build what WE want for a weekend ride, not necessarily what someone else says we should do. This is our trip...
We've already posted a couple questions and got some great feedback from all the subject matter experts out there, this is an invaluable resource for Chevelle specific info. Look forward to continuous conversation and information exchange with all you fellow Chevelle lovers!:beers:
