My car is in the process of being painted. :hurray: The shell and doors were painted together. Before the fenders are hung, what other parts should I install, that will make the reassembly process easier, if any? Will I be able to install the inner fenders after?
Thanks,
Mike

You can put the inners on after, just jack it up and take off the wheels and take your time.I'm glad to hear your making progress!I'm just dying to see some pics and how did the color match your sample?Hope everything else goes well.Jayson

Hey Jayson, Thanks, I am making progress. The color match came our very good, not perfect, but unless you actually work in the PPG lab in Cleveland, where this was color matched, I don't think it could get much better, because of the different chemical composition between the original laquer and the new BC/CC. (As explained to me by PPG) Here is a picture of the two color samples with the "master standard" on top and the PPG match on the bottom. Depending on how I take the picture one will look lighter and the other darker, so unless you see them in person, the pic is just that. The other pic is the body shell painted, before sanding/buffing. The top looks lighter because he only gave it one coat of clear, since it's getting a vinyl top. That's my painter Ed, who is wetsanding the decklid. I'll post more pics later.
