You need to give us a bit more information. Is it leaking at the bottom of the windshield at the cowl? What are you willing to spend to do the job? Is the car a daily driver or planning to be a show car?

The correct way is to weld in new metal. Very difficult at the windshild as there are no premade parts so you need to form your own or graft from a donor car.

The cheap fix can be fairly permanent and involves using POR-15 or similar products. Careful and through cleaning, putty for the holes and rust preventative paint products to cover the new work.

Jason the first thing to fix your leak is to find the caps Lock key http://www.chevelles.com/forum/smile.gif.
Second would be to call a glass guy and have him remove the glass to really see where the leak is coming from.
It could be as simple as just a bad seal, or as involved as welding in a new piece from a donor car. I am going to have the whole lower channel replaced with a donor piece and several holes welded up. If you find only small holes you can use the POR putty and have the glass reinstalled.
I've had the mobile glass guy out so often that we're becoming friends, good thing I haven't been billed yet http://www.chevelles.com/forum/biggrin.gif

Save your money on the glass guy! It is VERY easy to pull glass and install it.

To pull it all you need is some strong wire, a friend to help, and two small pieces of wood for handles. Push the wire through the ribbon caulk, attach it to one wood handle inside the car and one outside the car and pull it all the way arond the glass. Lift out the glass!

Buy ribbon caulk and a tube of additional caulk from an automotive paint store, put the ribbon caulk down, build up any low spots with the tube and put the glass back down. Fill any potential water puddle areas with the tube caulk and put the trim back on.

There, you just save $75.00!

I've used the POR putty on a few windshield channels, some were so-so and the stuff works great! As long as you have some material(metal) to work with it should not give you any problems in the future.
