Lite colors and pearls are the trickiest. Hold the gun too close and it'll show uneven patches, or streaks. You gotta have a decent pattern with the gun. Don't spray it on real wet and thick. That's where the sags come from. Stick with bc/cc for the beginner as funny as it sounds. Alot of people will shoot enamels trying to get that nice wet look and will apply it too thick and end up with all of the above problems. bc/cc you can apply the base alot drier and stand back and fog the last two coats of base on to get you out of any trouble. Then you can get funky with the clear to get the wet look. I've found that applying the bc/cc drier tends to help the pearls to stand and give a more shimmering effect with the lite. Can't be done with enamels unless you shoot clear over the enamel. But then you end with a really thick bc/cc paint job. www.angelfire.com/ky2/mycars (http://www.angelfire.com/ky2/mycars) RandyB..

thanks for the tips. my neighbor also told me to use bc/cc because if i mess up ( and i probably will ) it's easier to fix.
