What supplier makes the best repro's of the emblems found around the car such as Malibu, Chevelle by Chevrolet etc. I've got a '70, and they don't have to be perfect, but I do want the factory mounting holes to work with the aftermarket emblems--don't want to re-drill http://www.chevelles.com/forum/frown.gif

Coppertop...I just test fitted my new emblems today on my 70 that's at the paint shop. The "Chevelle by Chevrolet" on the trunk lid and the "SS 454" all fit sweet in their original holes. These were all repros I bought from OPG. The "cowl induction" which were GM parts didn't fit well at all. Figure that one out, I would have thought it would be the other way around.

The best ones that i know of are manufactured by Trim parts Inc.
They are the ones that just about all the suppliers carry. Excellent quality.

Most the repop [trim parts] emblems I've seen seem be better quality than the nos pieces. But I still use nos emblems on my car.

I got a set of GM 396 emblems for my 69 for Christmas, and was not at all impressed with the quality of the chrome. The grill emblem I have for the same car was made by Trim Parts, and it is a beautiful piece. I have no fears of repo embelms anymore.

I would have to agree with all here, trim parts make the best I have ever seen, but are not cheep. Oh wait I got a set of "Malibu" emblems mint new never used for the fenders of a 70 made by trim parts just sitting. e-mail me if you DON'T wanna pay $55 bucks a set like opg wants, i aint gotta 70 so i don't need em

I bought my 69 "ss 396" emblems through year one, and they too were trim parts brand. there bitchin', just beautiful, I'd put em' under my pillow every night if my wife would let me. the "chevelle" emblem I bought was so much better then the stock one. it was solid instead of hollow, and the tripple chrome plating was fantastic. just waitin' for the snow to melt and the temp. to rise so I can paint it. just my 2 cents, good luck

I know how you feel mad, my elcamino has all brand new trim parts emblems on it but the paint job (if it can even be called that) has primer showing through and look like hell. at least the body is super stright and it wouldent take buch to make it look purdy
