I just bought a new rear valance for my 70 and not sure if there is another part that attaches to it. THere are "wings" on each end with bolt holes that I guess attach to the quarter panel...but how???? There is nothing to bolt to that I can see. There is a gap of about an inch that I believe should closeup once the bolt is in. Any suggestions? Thanks

Mine was bolted on with a regular bolt and nut through the holes. Supposed to be a square'ish block tack welded the the backside of the quarter around the hole.

I used "U" bolts that slide on to the valence to bolt the one on my 70.
