Its been 2 months since I had the Beau painted. How long should I wait before I can put a coat of good wax on the ole girl. Its Speis Hecker base coat clear coat. I think I read once that if water is poured on the paint and it doesn't bead anymore the paint should be cured enough. Is this a generally true statement?

That statement has no relationship to how to determine paint curing. With 60 days cure time, you can wax to your heart's content. Go for it!

Never heard the water trick,but most paint companies say 30 days.
