I am ready to paint the dash on my 67. I have already blasted and primd with etching primer. What type paint would be best sprayed for original look and durability. BTW, I have a good HVLP gun for this project.

Thanks,

Mike

I would check out an eastwood cataloge or even a local chevy dealer.

Mike,

I bought the lacquer paint sold by Year One. They have it specially mixed for the correct color of each year Chevelle. They sell it in a spray bomb or by the pint. I did my dash using the bomb. The dried finish wasn't too great but I was able to rub it out for a nice finish. For the rest of the interior painting, I bought a couple of pints that need thinning before applying it.

The pints say Dupont Lucite Acrylic Lacquer. The mix info is not on it though, for my 67 Gold color.

Good luck,
