 Ok need some opinions, what tranny should i go with??
right now i have a 350 sb in my chevelle, and its mildly built, and i have a TH350 in it.
My plans are to dump a mildish 454 or a 383 stroker, leaning more to the 454. I also want to be streetable and freeway friendly, so i am thinking going with some 3.42 posi out back.
so now my question is, which tranny will work for me, budget and distance wise??? 2004R, 700R4???

There's a very good discussion of tranny options at http://www.montecarloss.com/SSThunder/drivetrain.html .

When you make up your mind, I might take the TH350 off your hands ... if it isn't too beat up. ;)

i have heard that the 2004R would work better for me instead of a 700R4, its an easier swap and less complications, is this true??

The 200-4R is a closer fit, but it might blow your budget. Look again at the notes at the bottom of http://www.montecarloss.com/SSThunder/drivetrain.html
