Post your combo in detail, weight and make of car, car intentions, and times..i think this could be fun and interesting to see what everyones does different with this widespread combo, and how well they all work......Ill start

just curious, what was the 1/8mi time with that combo? i've never ran my current combo in the 1/4mi but i'm guessing that it would run right at what you are running, maybe a little mph less than your's but i 60ft a bit better.

i know it's not a 350 based engine but it is probably more similar to a 383 than a 350 is.

I built it to be a low maintence cruiser that is still fun to drive and it has meet all my goals. I would like to add a 200 overdrive.

Heres my 350, 4.11 gears, 6 speed tranny, pump gas. Once its running, tuned and I get D.R.'s, hoping to squeak into the 11's. Est. 550-560chp.
Ran out of $$ to get the motor on Westechs engine dyno. See what happens.

Hey webfoot, are you getting traction during your launches???

Nope! The 60' time of my best run was 2.4x seconds. My best of the day was only in the 2.3 range and the worst was over 2.5. This was the only time I'd ever had it to the track.

still getting parts together but want to be able to drive it on the street as a street car, hopefully I will be able to give some track times at the beginning of the next race year.
I still have to decide on cam but can say that I am impressed with the maching work on the heads for out of the box. especially for all the bad that is seen on the forums.

We no longer run this combo, but it was the best street combo that we ever had.

660' = 7.236/92.990

BTW, it would get 12-13 mpg driving to and from the track (if you didn't get into it).

4.10 rear gears
3525# with driver

First and only time out was a 11.82 @ 112.72 through the tailpipes.

This current combo cruises everywhere. We normally go to 500+ mile away car shows every year... and cruising down the highway with the converter locked it gets 16 MPG. (Verified on my girlfriends 02 Intrepid odo)

This winter I'm transplanting all my parts into a 4.165 block. That will be interesting.

Roger, I agree. What's so impressive to me about the combo is how docile it is. He runs the old large case Straightline muffs and it is super quiet. I've hounded, nagged, bugged, and mildly suggested he call Jay for a solid roller for that combo. I think it would go 50's or better with a CI solid roller and more rpm. He shifts at 6200 with the hydro-roller.
