i am doing a complete resto on a 67 malibu and am having trouble fitting the crossmember to the 350 turbo short tailshaft tranny. the tranny hits the floorpan before the crossmember can fit under the tranny mount. is there different crossmembers or different tranny mounts?

You dont have the crossmember upside down do you? Im not sure if this is even possible, but I figured I would check. Maybe you could find a lower profile tranny mount. Perhaps the poly ones are shorter.

Something is screwy there. All 60's chevy trannys fit in 67 Chevelles. As Brettd85 metioned, upside down cross member? Maybe the body bushings are in incorrectly and the body is to tight to the frame? I guess go to the parts store with your mount in hand and compare it to what they say should be in there.
