maybe put in one too many zeros? Heck ive got a 340hp intake from a 62 vette, someone sent me a link to ebay where one just like it was bid up to $450+ and didn't meet the reserve. so who knows? Jim

My old 327 was out of a vette, 64 I think. Paid $100 for the shortblock.

Yea right. Good luck getting that even with one less zero. Hell, for that price you can get a real 66-up 427 Vette motor for less then that.

There certainly isn't anything special about a 250HP 327. Same heads and iron intake as any other small horse 327. The suffix on the block isn't that valuable and the partial VIN would be for another Corvette. NCRS would give points for an original suffix stamp but deduct points for the incorrect VIN. The date code would have to be correct also. Sorry, any points gained are not worth that much. It has an extra zero, IMO.

What does FIO--SC mean?

I have seen a few Vette 427s sell for around 5-7k the last few years. Perhaps they have risen even the last 2 years or so?
