Ok I finally got my Harwood 4" Cowl Hood and love it but now it's time to paint it. I had the car painted about 2 years ago and would like to JUST paint the hood to match the color of the car but also put the SS stripes on it (nothing looks better) My question is if I want the color of the hood and car to match really good how should I go about to achieve that? I asked the place who painted the car and they said $225-250 to paint it but that seems like a little much In my opinion or am I just wrong?

Ins't there a place that sells the stripe kit? thanks in advance to all the help

225-250 to paint it to match, by the original painter doesn't sound that bad to me. But I'm not a pro.

Have them paint it for sure! They'll have at least 4hrs of prep work getting it ready for paint I'm sure. Make sure you trial fit the hood before having the paint applied, fiberglass parts usually require a lot of work/modifications to get them to fit properly. The price that was quoted is cheap.
