this was a true ss until as i know was stolen recover at some point and tags were removed. then properly re-vin-ed with a 136 malibu sport coupe wich was scrapped by previous seller a tow company with the legal ability to have paperwork done correctly, wich it was, why else would tags be taken if it wasn,t an ss, so now forced to display as a clone clean 68 ss with all ss features, original roller-tach 6000rpm red line, original 375hp car, now runs a fresh profess built 66 396 block .030 over small pop-up pistons steel crank, hi-vol oil pump, 402-454 open-chamber heads ported and g.m. 427-425hpsolid cam&lifters, roller rockers, air-gap intake, a.e.d. 750cfm double-pump carb, nice fuel plumbing, pump-gas original bench seat 4-speed muncie m-21, center-force 11"clutch , 12-bolt 4:11 posi-rear, rear sway bar,traction bars, front disc-brakes all new suspension manual steering box, 4-row radiator, interior is 95%re- done& more by the time you pick-up , seat belts originals, car is a blast from the past to drive. no a-c. all original g.m. sheetmetal except hood, no rust, original solid floors with the exception of a former driveshaft loop into the rear tunnell torque explosion, replaced section since, impressive trunk inside with g.m. spatter paint , no radio have original a.m., dash bezel has cracked piece near ignition switch, new trim,felts, rubber, dash pad, door panels, seat upholstery, headliner, windshield etc.. exhaust is all new, welded from collectors all the way back to tips no clamps with dynomax mufflers. new hurst shifter, weld wheels, profes rebuilt steering column and gear box, msd 6al, with hei ignition and new wiring harnesses w/ hei conversion,w/ roller tach plug built in. piant is 2 years old, all b.a.s.f. undercoats and topcoats, 2 coats ebony black urethane with 3 coats of diamont dc92 clearcoat, pheonix graphics red tape ss stripe. not a 10 point show car but a real head turner only going up in value.

So whats the deal with the stolen business? Is that legit?
