well went to the track last nite with the s10 well it didnt go to good i went from a 4.10 to a 4.56 now the truck acts like it has to much gear the 60 ft went from a 1.61 to a 1.70 660ft went from a 480 to a 507 and the mph went from a 92 to a 88 and the et went from 7.49 to a 7.98 so everything is off this is a 1/8 mile track here is the specs

i was going thur the traps at 6100 rpms i think i was straining the motor cause i have a tick on the top end of the motor u guys think i ought to just get a 4.10 and be done with it thanks

Need a little more motor info. like cam duration and head flow and cc specs. Looks to me that your carb maybe too small.

dont be to quick to judge it yet,a sorry prep track will cause some sorry times starting with the 60 ft times and the rest will follow.

You don't need 4.56's and your tires are way too short.
Get a 28"-29" tall tire on there
and it sounds like the 4.10's where perfect.
I would still run a taller tire than 26"
A bigger carb (like a 750) would help out too.

You definitely shouldn't be running out of motor in the 1/8. Sounds like you have a lot of converter slip if you're only going 88 mph @ 6100. Since the incrementals are down all the way down the track I'd be looking at the motor for the lost performance.
