well i would go with the 9" personally, there are so many aftermarket parts and improvement on this diffy .

I was going to think about the strange dana 60 until I got the same info as above.

which housing would you go for, moser all new 510.00 , quick performance 345 on on ebay or some one elses?

I'm probably going 9 inch. Heard the Dana 60 is stronger but robs a lot of power.

Plus the 9" is easier to work on.

I run a dana60, its tougher than a 9" even if you use all stock 60 parts - 35 slpine axles are oem on the 60, 9 3/4" ring gear vs 9", and I beleive the 60 is more efficient than a 9" as the 9" has the pinion offset lower than the 60. just my opinion. 9" are lighter thats the only advantage I can really see.
