Hi...didn't see any posts on this. On 1965 Chevelles that were built in Freemont plant, where are most build sheets found? This car is a convertible, don't know if that differs or not. Would rather start in the possible spots than tear it all apart. No back seat one found.

AFAIK, the build sheets in early cars were few and far between, they weren't really supposed to be put in the cars and early cars probably had theirs thrown away. Sorry.

I believe in those days they were actually referred to as broadcast sheets. I have never seen one for a 65.

The ones you find on later vehicles came from the components that were installed on the cars. In the older days they just hung one bs on the front of the body or chassis and worked from that.

fyi - build sheet is slang for Broadcast Copy. When the bodies arrived at the Chevy receiving body bank and the idents were entering into the system, the car was Broadcast to all work stations thruout the plant to start the assembly process sequence.

pretty much the protect-o-plate is the build sheet of a 65'.
