I thought I should post up and say hi.

My car is a 1967 Malibu. Its nothing special just a 327 4 speed. I bought it it 1984 (or somehere around there don't remember exactly when LOL!) Its been resting in my garage since 1990. Well my wife recently mentioned I should try to get the Malibu modified how I want it so we have something to cruise around and take on power tour next year. I had been working on a 67 Mustang for a while and several other cars before the Mustang. Well I had to think about my wifes offer that for all of maybe 1 second. So off I go. :beers:

I'm not looking to race or anything like that. Just looking for a cruizer with decent performance both cornering and straight line, good stance, comfortable (as an older car can be), and fun to drive. I definetely have to do something with the brakes (locked up, single master cylinder, drums, etc), front suspension, and rear suspension (severe wheel hop issues if I remember correctly), and the steering box is really loose. I would like to lower the stance substantially as it sits really high right now. Any ideas anyone wants to throw out would be apreciated.

I have been trolling this site for a while and finally decided I should register. This is a great site with lots of good information and lots of people with far more knowlege than I'll ever have.

Thats about all I can think of right now. If you have questions please feel free to ask.

Thanks,
Kevin

Welcome to the site Kevin! There's lots of good info over in the Brake, Suspension and Steering forums just waiting for you. Pull up a comfy seat and take a gander.

Tons o' stuff to look through on here. It's a little bit o' money, but Hotchkis offers a complete suspension package front and rear for our A bodies. They even have 1-2 drop springs that can come in that kit. A stock Chevelle didn't do too aweful bad right outa the factory though. A simple resto of the suspension would probably do well for a cruiser. I love the stock ride for cruising, guess that's why I had 14 of them over the years as daily transportation.
