A little more info is in order,, what is the problem & why do you suspect a valve stuck open?

First thing to do is take a compression test. If the valve is open you will have none.
If it is hung very far open you will have no problem knowing as the piston will hit it.
What happens after this will probably not make you a happy camper

I suspect a leak because i got to keep the choke almost closed to keep it running even when it warmed up. I checked everthing cant find a leak.

A stuck open valve will PROBABLY get knocked CLOSED real quick when it get's hit by a piston, imho..

The vavles were adjusted cold before we ever started it. Should i adjust them warm could this be problem im having having to have the choke almost closed to make it run. I mean the motor sound pretty could just have to keep the choke almost closed or it will die maybe the vavles are sticking a little.

You can easily check a stuck valve by what wolfplace said- a compression test. Without a compression tester- and what shadetree mechanic doesn't have one- you can pop off the valve cover, have someone help turn the engine over WITHOUT starting, and look at the operation of the valves. You should already have an indication of this when the engine is running because you'd get a kickback thru the carburetor from the offending cylinder on compression stroke. Believe me, you'd notice it big time.
I wiped a camshaft one time and you could tell it was wiped because when looking at the rockers (using the procedure mentioned above) one wasn't moving up/down like the rest. Easy to diagnose and when the cam was removed, the lobe was gone and it looked round !!
