: Engine paint and prep?

I know it has been asked in the past but cannot find any good strings on it recently. I just had the engine rebuilt. Block has been baked and ready for paint. Really do not want to use POR-15 but would rather spray. Two questions. Do I need to use a etch primer or other primer prior to painting (what brand if I should)? What is a quality engine spray paint and manufacturer? Looking for something that will last as this car will be shown on occassion and be a weekend driver. Thanks as always.

Heres a recent thread. I would use etch then epoxy then urethane paint. Bill Hirsch makes nice engine enamel also.

epoxy primer and urethane single stage have proven to be the best in my opinion
