Hey all, good to get into what seems like a good chevelle tech forum. I've had great luck with other forums for other types of vehicles so I expect nothing less out of ya'll.

Let me start by standing up and saying; "My name is Andy, and I'm a chevelle owner."

1968 Chevelle Malibu. I was told by the older gentlman I bought the car from that the it was originally a 327 4 spd car. The main reason I bought it, well and the price was right. It now lives as a 350/350 with a floor shifter. Somewhere along the car's life it received an SS hood, and some SS badges. The car is that "light blue-ish silver color" marina blue? Anyway it also has a vinyl top. I know in 68 they offered a SS with the vinyl top and a malibu interior option, but I don't believe my car is a true SS. I'm hoping to find the info in here to figure it all out.

So if I could only figure out how to post pics on this forum I would. I'm sure the light bulb will turn on at some point.

I'm in Northern California, I like fast cars, slow 4x4's, and a clean tow rig. Hope to have fun here.

Welcome to a great site.

If you post the codes from the Trim Tag we can tell you what color and trim it came with from the factory.

Welcome aboard, nice to see another 68 being put to good use by a devoted owner! SS or Malibu, they are all nice cars and great fun to own and tinker with.

No worries, I'm going to do what I've always wanted with it. Plans are for some sort of big block, new suspension, new paint, black interior, and new wheels and tires.

Just need to find that money tree and start harvesting!

Oh yah- FYI 28% think I can't post a pic cause I'm an idiot! :beers:

Welcome aboard! Go to photobucket.com and upload your photos there. It is totally free. Once you have uploaded you can select the pictures you wish to post, and photobucket will create the "link" (with photo if you wish). All you have to do is cut and paste the code from photobucket into the body of your post here at the forums. Pretty easy... good luck!

65z13, I noticed that your 65 has no wipers. (air flow dynamics?) I'm trying to learn all I can . I have been out of the hi performance scene for too long and now I'm playing catch-up. "The only dumb question is the one that you are afraid to ask."

the original chrome wipers were replaced with some black plastic crap around 1988. I ditched them and don't drive in rain. I am interested in finding the correct arm assembly.

how's that for a speedy reply? not even two years, and someone was complaining about no reply in 36 minutes???

That's the disadvantage of using an off site image hosting service to post pictures here.
Andy posted that picture 1 year & 4 months ago and the image no longer lives at the URL address posted because ??

If I were to go deleted all the images at photobucket com that I have posted in our various forums, that same notice would appear in all those places anytime those threads are brought back up and cause people to wonder.
Some people might just get the dreaded RED X.
