I have a 79 camaro and I am changing the mounts, it seems theres no way to take the bolts out unless I take the suspension apart, is there anywar around this?

Sounds like your trying to change the suspension bushings and not the body mounts/bushings.

only way to get to those nuts without dropping the lower control arms is with extensions and swivels. Do you really need to change the mounts? I have never broken one of the 73 up style mounts, even with big blocks on them. They are much stronger than the 64-72 style.

I changed the clam shell motor mounts in my '80. It's difficult, takes patience but can be done with the right extensions and swivel sockets (metric). The rubber in mine was falling apart with age.
