I've searched the forum for answers on this, but it seems to stump everyone whenever it's brought up. I'm hoping to have better luck than previous posters.

I bought a 70 malibu with factory a/c which was removed. the blower fan switch was also removed. Is there a connection?

I just bought a used heater/a/c control unit and the blower switch had a prong fried off. Interestingly, on my car, the same connection on the plug fried. Two cars, and apparently the same short. Anyone know anything about this? I can't figure out what the heck is going on here. Maybe i just simply have a short and the a/c being removed has nothing to do with it, but I have read there might be a connection.

The A/C cars have a different wiring harness than the heat only cars. The harness connects to the switches on the control and goes through the firewall and connects to the various A/C components. There is a power connection under the dash.
