Well...getting ready to paint my 70. All the panels are now bare metal and should be coated in self etching primer very shortly. My question is.....what color is the inside of the fender painted? Are they black primer as when you buy replacements? THis is what I think is correct but....I do'nt want to do it twice!!. All help is appreciated ALbert

yes, they were black primer. But, If you want them to last and not rust and it's not in a controled environment, put some paint on them! Just because GM didn't dosn't mean you can't. 30% gloss black paint will look enough alike.
