well i've got the right quarter-panel primered and i'm working on the door. but i was wondering; what is the best way to do this? i first sprayed a layer of primer and then wet sanded, then sprayed another layer of primer and then wet sanded again. is all that necessary?

Scorpio,
I'm not sure how far along you are, but it sounds like your wetsanding too early in the process. Typically, wetsanding is the last sanding stage prior to laying down the paint. If you just shot the primer on, I would think you'd want to be guide coating and blocking the primer/surfacer to make sure you have the panels straight. Once all of the blocking is done, then you'd be ready to wetsand.
