How do you remove the control knobs so that you can remove the face plate. Don't to do it the wrong way and crack the fce plate. Thanks guys

They just pull off. I use a small vise grip and clamp onto the knob's long dimension. Then just wiggle back and forth while pulling at the same time. Even if you ruin the knobs, they are available at a reasonable price. Good Luck!
