: Replacing rear deck

guys got a prob im replacing my rusty rear deck on my 67 chevelle took the back glass out popped a few welds and remove it with no problem. now i see that the replacemnet deck doesnt have the little post (rivets) that the molding clips slide on. how does a man fix this do i cut the old ones off and weld them to the new deck or is there another solution to this

great question.. One that I hope to hear an answer for in the near future since all of the panels that had these "Rivets?" are coming off my Velle as well..

i don't know if you have acess to a stud gun welding dent puller but they do make the small moulding studs that can be welded on with this stud gun most body shops should have this piece of equiptment, and if you take the panel to them and mark where the studs need to go, you should be able to have this done for very little $

The previous posts I've read on this subject have said to drive in some screws with appropriately sized heads.

The little molding STUDS are replaceable, with a small shouldered screw. I have gotten them and new clips from Don's East Coast
516 226 7982.
Make a note of the location around the window opening and record the critical inner lip to stud dimension.
