it looks as though you can buy 68-72 steel panels that go between the rear window and the trunk for 4 door sedans. will it work on a convertible? i looked at mine and boy are they close. has anyone tried this?

man its close. closer then a 2 door, but it does not fit.

Ya know pete considering the simplicity in those parts I really wonder why they haven't produced them yet... :rolleyes: Wonder if the same place that did the wagon panel for you would be interested?

any chance they have one at Leon's? we ended up getting ours from a junk yard in Myrtle Beach and it was a graemlins/angry.gif

I think the skylark body i just cave jim has a good one on it, it at least should be good enough to use as a model for reproduction.

Most people I think don't put the entire panel in anyway, they mainly just cut out the rear window track and replace the old rusted track. Depends on how far gone yours is, but maybe you don't need to use all of it anyway. Just looking at it differently, that's all. I need to repalce mine, but don't plan to put the whole panel in. Just the rear window bottom track.
