I put the wiper motor in my 67 SS Conv, the problem is i got power at the motor and power at the switch, i took the motor to the shop and it checked out fine it will run all day on the 12 volt charger. When i turn the switch on i got nothing. If i turn it to high speed and reach in the cowl and help it a bit it runs but if i turn it back to low or offit stops and i have to help it again. The assembly isn't hooked up to the motor at this time. They told me at the electric shop to run a seperate ground which i did to no avail. So i tried another switch .still no luck The switch is just hanging out of the dash right now, maybe it has to be grounded i don't know. My buddy has a 67 and the only way his will work if he pushes in on the pump. In my manuals it shows 4 terminals and 2 for the pump my pump only has 3 and 2. It also has a new wiring harness and ground straps on the car. The power is ther but they won;t work. Anybody had this problem or know what to do to fix please post it. Thanks for any help. This 67 SS396 Muncie 4 speed Conv is one of 106 buolt for Canada. I found it in a barn and have completely restored it Thanks

Did you get your wipers going yet? If not, check for power at the yellow wire where it plugs on to the wiper motor. It should have power all the time (with ignition switch on). The switch in the dash must be grounded. If it's still hanging out of the dash, connect a temporary ground to the body of the switch for a test (to somewhere connected to chassis ground, dash brace, emergency brake mount, etc.). When you turn the switch on it provides ground to either the low or high speed terminals (depending on switch position) of the motor & makes the motor run. I had the same problem & needed to provide a better ground to the switch body where it comes through the dash.
If you've already solved the problem, sorry for the un-needed info.
Good Luck .........Odie
