I can't remember or figure out, without removing the front (door) window and crank mechanism, if there is an adjustment to the rolled down window bottom stop. In other words, with the window rolled all the way down, is there an adjustment to where the top of glass is positioned, in relation to the top of door on a hardtop or convertible?

You have four stops. Two upper and two lower.

Yes I'm familiar with the upper stops but can't find the lowers. Does the mechanism have to be removed to access them? Maybe they're missing on this car.

On my 69 there are no adjustable stops for the down position, just a hard rubber bumper installed in the bottom of the window guides ( just in the front guide if I remember correct).

Hey Von and others,
I also have the problem of the front windows not going all the way down. :( They are about 1/4 inch above the weatherstip. Did you ever get your fixed? Does anyone else have a solution? I have a Fisher Body Book and it does not show a down adjustment.

Hey Von,
What about trimming the rubber stops the thickness I need to lower the glass? ;)

Sorry, my mistake on the lower stop. You shouldn't have to trim anything to get the window to go down far enough. Something else must be wrong.

Hey Guys,
I have not taken my doors apart yet. I hope to find an easy fix with the help of the Fisher Body Book and you all. I'll check this post once in a while as I get time to open the doors. I guess I'll have to search for how to get the door panels off first!!:thumbsup:
