When I bought the car the rear bumper was off. I need to put it back on. I think i might be missing some pieces to reattach it. See the brackets to hold it on are nothing like the front bumpers. You know how the front bumpers have the brackets the come off and bolt into the frame. Well on my rear bumper i have 1 bracket on the left one on the right. They both are like a square but with the side that faces away from the bummper is bear and theres two holes at the top and 2 at the bottom. How in the world do you hook this up.

69,
It's been a while now since I took mine off, but as I remember, there are only 2 brackets; one for each side. Unless someone else can chime in here, I'll investigate further when I get home tonight.

There's one in the middle too. The rear bumper brackets bolt to the body instead of the frame.

Sorry, you lost me on that one http://www.chevelles.com/forum/confused.gif
Von is absolutely right about the center bracket. I forgot about that one, but now that I'm at home and looked at the car and the assembly manual, I saw it. My bad.
A word of advice here - buy yourself an assembly manual. Only about $20 or $25, and you will thank yourself many times for spending it. It shows very clearly how the brackets go. Who knows, you may not even have the right brackets for the car. The two outer brackets each have 4 holes where they bolt on to the car body. The two upper bolts on each side actually go through into the trunk. The two lower ones just go into a blind cavity in the body.

your right they do fit into the body but i dont see the blind cavity. I think its missing. The spare tire box underneath my trunk isnt there. Is that where the cavity is? Thanks Bill for all the help.
